Mee-Hae RYO (Cellist)

Out of the disappointment he felt after the end of the First World War, Elgar penned the melody that would become the first theme from the concerto after he regained consciousness following an operation to remove an infected tonsil. The Concerto is followed by the Second Symphony by Borodin. Borodin was a Russian Romantic composer who was dedicated to produce a specifically Russian kind of art music.
