A festival for the saxophone enthusiast held every three years, the TPO will join together with outstanding saxophone soloists from the world to present the music of the saxophone. The 15th World Saxophone Congress will be hosted by the College of Music, Mahidol University, with the collaboration of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.

Salaya Campus: Please cross the river over t he Pinklao Bridge, drive straight on along the Baromrachachonne Rd. until you get to Taligchan-Nakhonchaisri Rd., make a u-turn and drive 2 km. Back until you get to the entrance of the Mahidol University to your left.

Directions

Salaya is about 25 km west of Bangkok en route to Nakhon Pathom and Kanchanaburi. The nearest tourist attractions are Buddhamonthon Park, Rose Garden and Don Wai floating market.

From the NORTH of Bangkok:
Cross over the Chao Phaya River by Krungthon Bridge and follow Sirinthorn Road to the partially elevated Highway 338 to Buddhamonthon/Nakhon Chaisi. Get off at the Salaya exit, the campus is on the left.

From the WEST of Bangkok:
Cross over the Chao Phaya River via Pinklao Bridge and take the partially elevated Highway 338 to Buddhamonthon/Nakhon Chaisi. Get off at the Salaya exit, the campus is on the left.

From the SOUTH of Bangkok:
Cross over the Chao Phaya River by Thaksin Bridge and follow Chayaphruk Highway until you get to the junction with the newly opened Ratchaphisek Road. From there, follow directions to Boromrachonnani Highway 338. Get onto Boromrachonnani to Buddhamonthon/Nakhon Chaisi. Get off at the Salaya exit, the campus is on the left.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, here are our suggestions:

From VICTORY MONUMENT:
Take bus number 515 (aircon, 25 baht) or bus 125 (7 baht) to Salaya

From SILOM ROAD:
Take bus number 547 (aircon, 20 baht) or 164 (7 baht) to Salaya

From PINKLAO ROAD:
Take bus number 124 (7 baht) to Salaya.

From KLONGSAN:
Take bus number 84Kor (aircon, 25 baht / non-aircon, 7 baht) to Salaya

* A TAXI ride from anywhere near the city center is approximately 200-250 Baht. Please travel safely and take one of the newer cabs. Don't forget to ask the driver to set the meter!
